    After converting your User Base from another BBS package to ProBoard, you find that your original passwords are not visible in ProCfg/User Editor.

    The User is still able to log onto your BBS because the CRC of their original password is stored and made available for password authentication.

    There are some FreeWare PEXes which automatically save the password in a visible format by using the CRC.
